Summer Soak

Before I wrote this post ,summer soak I did not know we would be getting soak by the rain. Ironic right.

However this is spa version of summer soak of relaxing and easing away the tension in your feet, with a luxury foot soak or foot spa. Well all you need is

A bowl or foot spa( a foot spa if your posh or maybe your not, just saying)
Towel
Sea salt
Bubble bath or bath soak  (your favourite or one collecting dust in the back  of cupboard that you got for Christmas, hooray it is going to get used!!!;)
Aromatherapy oil put from old post benefits
Rose water (buy from your local supermarket it’s cheaper then your beauty outlet) it known for its soothing and cooling especially good if hay fever suffer if eyes are itchy and irritating.
Cotton wool.

Cleanse  or wash your face first  you’ll understand later.

Sprinkle the bottom of the bowl or foot spa with the sea salt and then water at your preferred temperature, a cap full of bubble bath or bath soak and 3 drops yo
ur chosen  essential oil or aromatherapy oil. Have your rose water,  cotton wool  and towel at hand. Now put your feet in the water and wipe your face  with rose water over your face and round your neck. Then take two pieces of cotton wool turn them into eye pads and soak  them with rose  water and place over eyes for at least 20 minutes. When finish dry and moisturise.

If you want go a  step further a give  yourself mini pedicure , use a foot file even easier use one of Avon foot scrub . Cut your toe nails after you finished soaking your feet(especially good if have tough or  brittle nails because it soften them, making them easier to cut). Then use orange /cuticle stick or nail file with a tip to gently push back cuticles. Then run orange /cuticle  stick around cuticles ,after scrap away dead skin ,  any other dead skin wipe away with  your towel or cotton wool. Manicure/pedicure :It’s official nail polish is the NEW Black! ’cause we can’t stop painting our nails.

According to the retail analyst, Mintel, “nail colour cosmetics” such as nail polish sales have been more than lipstick for the first time , even tho’ lipstick is still fighting back with sales of red lipstick increasing in 20124.

SO to coincide with this HERE’S HOW TO MAKE YOUR MANICURE LAST LONGER!

BEFORE

Buff your nails before you paint it, it smooth’s the surface of the nails, so the nail polish adheres /stick to the nails.

Clean the surface of your nails with nail polish remover before you paint because dirt or product residue such as hand cream/cuticle oil can make the nail paint chip or peel, due to the nail polish doesn’t like moisture or build up.

Makes sure nail polish are not thick or gloopy because it may lead to nail polish peeling off, because it’s so thick or doesn’t go on smoothly on the nail. But if you use 1 – 2 drops of acetone ( not nail polish remover because a lot of nail polish remover , has essentials oils that doesn’t agree always with nails polish, you can get acetone from a chemist)and shake nail polish bottle with lid until the polish comes thinner and more runner.

DURING

Always use base coat because it smooth’s out the ridges and imperfections and is the foundation for colour and makes your manicure last longer, because after 7 days your nails absorbs the colour. That’s way if you didn’t use a base coat your nails sometime stain or dis colour, due to the nail absorbing the colour (but use cuticle oil and lemon juices every day until the stain goes}.

Then, Always use Top coat because it seals the colour and gives the manicure added protection and always brush nail tip across, and if you want to be ultra-professional do it at each stages of painting from the basecoat, 1st and 2nd coat of colour and top coat to seal in the nail free edges.

Paint the layers of the nail polish as thinly as possible, because if it’s too thick the nail polish will just peel off because the build-up of the nail polish is so thick.
AFTER

Let your nail polish dry properly and try for it not to come into contact with water for 4 hours, because it can take up to 4 hours for all layers of the nail polish to dry thoroughly , but you don’t get out of washing up or cleaning that easily , after it initially dries use rubber clothes.

After day or two top up your nail polish with top coat to freshen up your manicure, re enforcing protection of the manicure, after 3 – 4 days you can also use the colour, that will do the same.

When cleaning or washing , baking , tidying up wear rubber , silicone gloves to stop the nail polish from chipping/peeling.

I can’t be the only one who needs to feel refreshed after this late winter and mild autumn , not forgetting temperamental spring whose skin is feeling dry, dull and needs a pick me up so try a homemade facial steam (aka spring steam )and inhalation.

THING NEEDED.
A bowl

Hot Water

Toner (suggested rose water brought from your locally supermarket not  a beauty outlet, because it is much cheaper).

Moisturiser

Aromatherapy/ Essential oil of your choosing:

Suggestions

Eucalyptus essential oil– (anti-bacterial) good for colds/flu and stuffy noses, congestion on the chest, hay fever suffers due to this.
Lime essential oil – (anti – bacterial) uplifting, refreshing and helps relive fatigue.

 

AVOID SKIN IRRATION AND SKIN AGGRATION FACIAL STEAM IF SKIN HAS:

Broken skin

Thread or broken veins

Ultra sensitive skin

Inflammation

DO FACIAL STEAM/ INHALATION WITH CAUTION DO IT FOR HALF MINTUES ONLY , AND SEE IF ANY ADVERSE REACTION OCCUR(LIKE COUGHING). DIRECTIONS.

Place hot water in a bowl half way (that your face can fit over it) , then 3 – 5 drops of aromatherapy/essential oil in your water . Place the towel over your head and the bowl, so you create a cocoon that the steam can’t escape out. When your face is over the steaming bowl keep your eyes close to avoid burning. Lift away head if the vapour is too much or too strong and replace your head as when and if you need to.

So it is able to deeply cleanses your skin and open your pores, clear your congestion on your chest and sinus. ( So breath through your nose and out , then breathe in through your mouth and out. Then breathe in through your nose and though your mouth).    Clear congestion of the skin , those spots, acne, brighten and hydrates your skin . When you finish let your face dry naturally after wiping your face, then tone (i.e rose water) to cool and close the pores. Then moisturize.

How to avoid skin hyper pigmentation /skin discoloration through sun  protection factor (SPF).

Skin hyper pigmentation/ skin discoloration we have it in some shape of form, whether it is lighter and darker shades of skin, areas of redness, age spots.  So here is a quick tip and  a word of advice how to avoid and reduce skin hyper pigmentation/skin discoloration.

Start now to use SPF50 daily( check out  the latest  SPF50 at my avon store), SPF15 offers only little which is in most beauty , cosmetic, and make up products, SPF30 is adequate. However, SPF50 offers maximum protection against hyper pigmentation, more worst for people of colour(Asian, afro Caribbean, African, olive skin tone);because the misconception you don’t need sun factor protection but the sun is the biggest cause of hype pigmentation(dark areas to discoloration to the skin, and in Caucasian skin it causes wrinkles and loss of firmness( due to the sun rays damaging the skin). ( What is that I hear but it is not warm , but we don’t live in darkness do we and we do have daytime, so it means still the sun rays can damage your skin).

Also to reduce  skin hyper pigmentation exfoliate once to three times a week to  help  with cell regenation.

A homemade facial mask Aloe vera and lemon Mask to help  reduce hyper pigmentation/ skin discoloration. Also, for skin with acne, scars, spots , reduce dark spots and blemish( healing, anti – bacterial, and lightening) . Cut open and Scoop away a 1 – 3tbsp of jelly with 1 -3 tsp of lemon juice (mix enough to cover your face) and mix together. MANUKA HONEY.

Manuka Honey  Facial mask homemade

(Hydrating, nourishing and moisturising), all skin types

Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins and remove with a warm flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove .

Healthy Lemonade( Immune Booster)

 

3 -5 lemons –

½ cup Manuka honey

1ltre water

Few spring of Mints (optional).

To get nutrients and the best out the lemonade blitz all the ingredients together, that include lemon with skin and drink soon as possible because the vitamins and nutrients lose its strength, aswell as if left too long it will go bitter.

 

AVOCADO

Avocado Facial mask homemade

(brightening and moisturising) all skin types  –

Mash a quarter of a small ripe avocado. Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins and remove with a warm wet flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove .

Avocado smoothie( Energy Booster)

1 small avocado

1 small banana

Almond/coconut/rice Milk 250ml

Ice (optional).

Remove skins of avocado and banana, then cut up with milk(ice optional) and put in the food processors/juicer and blend . Then serve.

 

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera , Shea butter and Rose water Facial Mask homemade

For mature/ sensitive skin(soothing, hydrating, nourishing ,healing)- 10p size of shea butter and 10p size of aloe vera mashed up and tsp of rose water put in little container. Then put in another container that is bigger hot water. Place smaller container with mask ingredients into it. Leave for 10 – 15mins or until shea butter softens. Then remove the smaller container and mix contains. Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins Remove with a warm wet flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove the Mask.

Aloe vera juice

(cleansing and detoxifying- a natural laxative do not drink more than nine days straight because body needs to heal after being cleansed).

A cup of water.

Cut the sides of aloe vera which is spikey and scoop away the jelly that will feel slimy and sticky away from the skin. Then with water put in the food processor and blitz. Then drink straight to bypass the bitter taste.

Aloe vera and lemon Mask

For skin with acne, scars, spots , reduce dark spots and blemish( healing, anti – bacterial, and lightening) .

Cut open and Scoop away a 1 – 3tbsp of jelly with 1 -3 tsp of lemon juice (mix enough to cover your face) and mix together. Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins and remove with a warm wet flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove .

 

CLAY/MUD

Rose Rhassoul clay Mask

For mature skin, anti ageing tightens the skin the clay mud –

Mix 10p Rhassoul mud with a drop of rose essential oil and then with damp hands put on your face. Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins . Remove with a warm wet flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove the Mask .

Lavender Kaolin Clay Mask

For all skin types especially good for spots ,acne prone skin who have dry,oliy to combination skin –

Mix 10p Kaolin mud with a drop of lavender essential oil and then with damp hands put on your face. Apply to the face and leave on face for at least 20mins Remove with a warm wet flannel or muslin cloth and tone to completely remove the Mask.

It is 2016 time to look after your wellbeing, here is 16 ways you can do this from  1’For all your Beauty and Spa Needs…Mariasbeautyblog-Full of Beauty Tips.

 

1. MAKE TIME FOR Your wellbeing,
Maybe with a bath(i.e aromatherapy bath or have lay down and rest(maybe with aromatherapy oil) or pamper yourself a treatment(book with me).or anything where your just focusing on yourself and wellbeing.

2. TAKE A BREATHE.
Take a deep breathe in and breathe out.
It known to aid relaxation, try this technique breathe in through your nose until  you fill your lungs, and breathe out slowly( for maybe 5 seconds) and repeat and continue for 5 minutes and do this every day and particularly when you feel stressed and build up to 15 to 20 minutes to improve your wellbeing.

3. GO BACK TO YOUR DREAMS OR GOALS AND GO FORWARD WITH IT AND MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR 2016.
Write it down your dreams or goals that you have had, whether it is from childhood or something you keep putting off. (Especially with life being so hectic, a routine with work, knock back and setbacks with home life, friends, family , relationships, children). Then work through the list and make them more tangible by doing research on the internet or read up on it to hear how people have done it. For Example drawing, painting, cooking , starting a business, changing career, studying : by doing a course whether it is a short course if  you  have less time ;or long course that is more in depth if you have time . Also going on youtube if you have less time and money they always have interesting and informative videos , that will talk and do step by step guides to the process or techniques.

4. GET REST AND GOODNIGHT SLEEP FOR 2016.
It is one the most important things we tend not do is rest and good night sleep it is very healing to the body, mind and wellbeing; stated by doctors, medical and health professional, therapist. Through helping the body to regenerate and regulate the bodies metabolism and numerous other health benefits.

Dry Skin
Appearance is dull and skin flaking or peeling, to touch is rough and dry.
Oily Skin
Appearance is shiny but dull, may have spots, blackhead, to touch is smooth, oily.
Normal/Dehydrated Skin
Appearance is normal but when you perch the skin soft lines appear (like lines on a piece of paper) , to touch smooth but dry due to the lack of water in skin(so drink more water or a humid environment(i.e central heating).
Combination Skin
Apperance is oily on the T-ZONE( which is your nose ,across your forehead,may include your forehead or chin) dry/dehydrated cheeks, forehead, chin characteristic explained above.
Sensitive Skin
If you are sensitive skin your skin reacts or gets irritated easily whether it’s to products, the temperature i.e. hot water, touch i.e rough/abrasive exfoliation, especially perfume products. Skin appearance may have rosacea on cheeks and skin may feel tight.
Mature skin
Appearance is deep lines known as wrinkles, thin skin, slack skin , to touch un smooth, loss of firmness. However if skin is mature it may still have combination of dry, dehydrated, oily and sensitive skin, so need to take this into consideration too.

 

6. START CLEANSING AND MOISTURING DAILY MORNING AND NIGHT FOR 2016

Cleanse, Tone , Moisture to balance, heal, protect your skin . Cleanse to get rid of the dirt, germs, oil, dead skin and prepare skin for the moisturizer so it is absorbed. Tone to rid of any dirt, oil or dead skin the cleanser doesn’t get rid of as well as cleanser itself because believe it or not one cleanse does not get rid of every thing that is needed to be removed. Then moistures. Repeat morning and evening but change the type of cream you use ,so for the day use cream with SPF( Sun Protection Factor) and at night use night cream and/or serum and/ or facial oil depending on your skin type. You can  find a very affordable range from Maria’s Avon online store.

7. BE CONSISTENT WITH  YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR 2016.
If you want your skin to look good you need to be consistent to see results. So cleanse ,tone and moistures daily, exfoliate weekly, facial mask application weekly . If you start using a new product or have new beauty /skin regime you need to do as instructed for a least a 3 months to see results. There is no point in doing it when you like and saying  it doesn’t work.

8. START TO DETOX AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH TO IMPROVE YOUR WELLBEING.
I recommend Raw Food DETOX by Anya Ladra , or DR GILLIAN MCKEITH’S ULTIMARE HEALTH PLAN.

9. SWIPE UNHEALTHY EATING HABITS FOR HEALTHY EATING HABITS TO IMPROVE YOUR WELLBEING, REPROGRAMME YOUSELF.
Let’s begin with my old favourite Crisps(my favourite flavours is cheese and onion for the record).
I have swiped it for popcorn flavoured with salt, pepper and grated cheese. Slices of cucumber still get the crunch but not the calories. Hummus or guacamole with vegetable croutons.
Alcoholic beverages for tonic water slice of lemon or lime. , bitter lemon, soda water with slice of lemon or lime.
Milk chocolate for dark chocolate.

10. REDUCE ALCOHOL INTAKE (Yeah we’ve heard that before).
So if you  have 4 drinks usually reduce by one , so next time you will have 3 drinks and so on, to slowly ween your of it. Alternatively, swipe alcohol for tonic water slice of lemon or lime. , bitter lemon, soda water with slice of lemon or lime.

11. EXERCISE AND YOU WON’T EVEN KNOW IT BY WALKING PART OF YOUR JOURNEY.
So if part of your journey you can walk instead of taking the train, bus part of journey , or park the car further away so you have to walk.

12. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND DON’T NECGLECT THOSE NIGGLE AND PAINS.
If it is hurting, aching, sore, cramped your not doing something right, most probably over working it. DO NOT JUST PUSH THROUGH WITH OUT TREATMENT . So rest, treat the aliment with ointment, medical cream or aromatherapy blend , seek holistic, health or medical professional for advice to save yourself a medical bill. The reasoning being ‘your health is your wealth’.

13. HAVE FUN.
By doing what makes you happy and laugh ,brings a smile to your face

Here’s quick tip to fight the Winter Blues from 1’For all your Beauty and Spa Needs…Mariasbeautyblog-Full of Beauty Tips. Begin by putting a hot water bottle or electric blanket between the sheets in your bed. So you will be nice and warm to melt the chills away as well as relieve tension in your body. (In case of your back, shoulder, hips, knees or any other area of the body is aching or stiff; put the hot water bottle with a towel over it (to avoid being burnt) underneath or top of the area, so the heat can help relieve the tension and pain.)

If your adverse or don’t like heat(or going through your own personal heat wave, hot flushes, ladies I know you know what I mean) .  Therefore, you want more of a cooling approach to  feeling relaxed and uplifted use rose water known for these properties. Put the rose water on cotton pads and pop over your eyes for at least twenty minutes. Aswell as on another cotton pad put rose water on them and wipe all over the face, and whatever area feels hot. However, if you’re really feeling hot damp a cloth, rag ,handkerchief or flannel with cool water and sprinkle some rose water on it, and put it round the back of your neck and/or forehead  for at least twenty minutes as well as.

As well put a few drops eucalyptus and /or peppermint on your pillow or use with a oil burner especially if got, getting a cold or flu: because they are known to be antibacterial. Which helps to kill germs in the air aswell as, helps to decongest stuffy nose, head colds or headaches, tight chests . IT ALL BEGINS WITH THE APPLICATIONS OF Beauty Products. YES, I Said beauty Products, That we all use.

“What?”

My reply is “I hope so because prevention is better the cure” or something along those lines because everyone is an individual(when using our beauty products).

 

Do You know Making , Adding or Missing out small things to your beauty, grooming or maintenance routine when using beauty products ,can make a big improvement and difference . Like when you moisturise remember to do all your face not just where yours hands touch at first . Like Your cheeks, but you got to include your sides of face near eyes, jaws and forehead; and when I mean your face I mean your neck and chest as well, you ever wondered how we get crappy/loose skin at the neck and chest because a lot of us are miss out moisturising those areas. Even less of us exfoliate or applying beauty products such as  mask or serum(not forgetting over exposure to the sun, so use that SPF, apply facial  beauty products upwards lifting the skin to fight against gravity and lose of elasticity in the skin as we age). I have had ladies say one of those reply above. As well as I have said 1 or 2 or 3 or combination of the above response when having treatments, consultations, listening or talking to a health, beauty, massage, holistic ,skin or cosmetic professional whether it is face to face, advert on TV, TV programme or channel or reading an article, magazine or book.

Well, I remember years ago when I had a facial, when I was training and come round to my consultation I thought I know what the beauty therapist is going to say, I know my own face anyway I am beauty therapist/ facialist myself(Wrong). “You have combination skin, oily T zone, few breakouts, de – hydrated cheeks and dry forehand”. I would say in my mind, yeah I know as I sure you have said that in your mind or out loud, then she said “… and your sides of face are dry”. I said” my sides of faces is dry?” and she said “and your neck”. “What?” “If you give me your hand”,  she took my hand and then my finger and running along my side of my face and then my cheeks and said “… do you feel the side is rough”.Then I felt my sides and then my cheeks, “… compared to your cheeks do you feel the difference? Then, I said “yes” astonished, I can’t believe the sides of my face is dry I moisturise every day and my neck”. So she went on “do you moistures your neck” I thought about it, I don’t think I do and shook my head. Then, she said “what is your daily   routine? My reply was classic reply “cleanse, tone and moisturise”, while I was saying that I was mimicking moisturising my face. Then realise I never did touch the sides and come out with “I didn’t it even realising I was doing that just moisturising my cheeks, jaw and forehead and not doing my sides or neck, ’cause I am so in a rush in the morning. I must start doing that know…”. See simple things! Now my sides of my face isn’t as dry or my neck and the de- hydration lines that started to appear have disappeared; because I started to notice the crappy skin that leads to a saggy neck, so for now I am holding it at bay.

Also other areas we tend to forget our lips, like a good lip balm or treatment. Not the ones that when we were little that smell like bubble gum or you want to eat: but a nourishing lip balm/ treatment with vitamin e, shea butter or coconut butter/oil or ingredients that skin can benefit from, that is anti-ageing and nourishing to the lips and skin surrounding the lips that we get lines around. So remember to apply around the lips on to the skin. I have to remind myself, to do these areas when moisturising because I am still in a rush or short of time like my elbows, fore arms, knees, feet and soles of my feet and toes.(Pssst I use body oil spray when really pushed for time or feeling lazy; because I can do without that rubbing in action of creams, lotions, body butters). Also exfoliate these areas once to three times a week. To make it even easier I use body scrub, which is combination of a body wash and exfoliate, also known as 2 in 1 that’s gentler to use daily or pair of exfoliating mitts. So now I avoid rough /dry elbows, fore arm, knees, feet and sole of my feet most of the time; I am only human and other things come into play but still leave out my toes at times, naughty, until it comes to summer then there is no where to hide. Those scandals take no prisoners! Pedicure time. Don’t forget to apply eye cream, gel, serum or treatment to your eye lid, under eye and sides of the eye ( with your ring finger);because I had so many say in treatment or consultation “only use to apply to the under eye and didn’t know you could or suppose to put it on my eye lids”. I say

“ You got to remember your skin gets thinner, creases and wrinkles form because your body produces less collagen,so skin gets thinner as we mature”. Now, “… always apply your eye product up and inwards to defy gravity because our skin sags.” In fact all skin moisturisers/serums whether it is for the face or body should be applied upwards. This is 21 ways to help you through hay fever from one hay fever suffer to another, that have been tried and tested (by a hay fever suffer(ME).

  1. One thing I can’t live without is lavender essential oil and roman chamomile essential oil. As an aromatherapy oils, it says to help calm nerves and soothes irritations when inhaled. Put a few drops on a tissue or/and a pillow before you go to sleep. (All essential or aromatherapy oils such as lavender or roman chamomile you may find to buy at health shops, chemists e.t.c.(Other essential oils is peppermint oil is known to be reiving, refreshing to the senses and de – congest to bring clarity. Ylang ylang aromatherapy oil is smoothing and use when you irritable day and /or night to aid sleep.
  2. Don’t hang clothes outside because pollen will get attach to it leading to irritating your skin and you.
  3. Keep curtain close or a damp cloth/towel inside the window because it helps to catch the pollen, especially on the windy days with all the pollen flying around.
  4. Spray rose water on your face and all over by putting it in an empty spray bottle (that has been washed and dried), because rose water in aromatherapy is known for its soothing, calming and up lifting properties. (Rose Water can be brought from your supermarket or health shop).
  5. Wash your face often, to wash away the pollen that causes itchy eyes and nose. Go for cleansers with rose, lavender or chamomile essential oil.
  6. Put rose water on a cottons pads over eyes when closed and use as a compress on eyes for 20minutes; to smooth irritating, itchy eyes when you have more time such as the evening.
  7. Put rose water on cotton pads and gently wipe over the eye lids and surrounding the eye area, when you have less time such as the morning to sooth the eyes.
  8. Juice or squeeze half a lemon and drink in the morning, because it has been said to help to break down mucus, flam on the chest, throat; because as you may know hay fever feels like a cold or bad flu. If too sharp mix with teaspoon of honey. Lemon, also known to bring clarity to the mind and be reviving in aromatherapy, when I feel really low and mind is foggy. I have half a lemon with half lime and little maple syrup or honey drink mixed with water and drink to help relieve my energy feeling low.
  9. Drink water with a slice of lemon or lime to keep you feeling refreshed, while battle against the hay fever symptoms
  10. Carry a bottle of water with half squeezed lemon ( 1 teaspoon honey oppositional if too sharp), to keep you up lifted, as well as help to break down mucus on the chest and throat due allergic reaction to the pollen.
  11. When you feel chesty or chest feels tight rub Vicks, Robb or a Mentholated Rub, or few drops of Eucalyptus essential on your chest; to help break down the mucus and help relieve the chest of the tightness.
  12. When outdoors bring with you your mentholated balms/rub or eucalyptus oil on tissue and inhale, to help runny or block nose and when your chest feeling tight.
  13. Drink Chamomile herbal Tea it is known for its soothing properties.
  14. Drink Thyme herbal tea by boiling a hand full of sprigs of it water it known to relieve tension and congestion on the chest.
  15. Have a sauna or/and stream to ease the tightness of the chest and clean away the pollen on skin.
  16. Mix the Mentholated Rub/Balm, Vicks, Robb mix together with 1 drop of lavender essential oil on a tissue and inhale, when feeling lethargic and irritated by the pollen to relieve you.
  17. Close all doors and windows to keep the pollen and turn on the fan to keep cool.
  18. When your nose feeling block, stuffy or running and sinus are sore ,tender when you touch or press them , apply Vicks ,Robb, Mentholated Rub /Balm alongside your nose on your face(which is your sinus); and along your cheek bones avoid the eyes. This will help to loosen the mucus in those areas and aid relief.
  19. Take a teaspoon of local honey everyday not regular honey you buy from your supermarket, claims to help build up your immune system against pollen. (I have tried this and does work for me. I usually start taking mine a month before spring, but any time is a good time to start. To find your local honey go to your local health farm or shop, or to your local bee keeper if possible).
  20. Buy and use Air Purifier in the room your mostly in, because it says to help to cleanse the air. In the water mix with 1 drop – 3 drops of lavender, chamomile, eucalyptus essential oil to ease symptoms of hay fever.
  21. Here’s a quick rundown how to look after your skin before, during and after your holiday from 1’For all your Beauty and Spa Needs…Mariasbeautyblog-Full of Beauty Tips.

BEFORE.

So let’s begin by exfoliating your skin .( For a homemade recipe on my facebook page , if you like it put me   in your suitcase, but if you can’t do that like my facebook page and follow me for beauty tips at a glance). The reason to exfoliate is so you tan evenly  and so skin looks radiant before you go; because it is more than likely your skin is going to be more on show. Do exfoliate 24 hours before or after hair removal treatment, due to your skin feeling more sensitive. But if you’re feeling tired, exhausted or lazy go and, have a sauna/stream, which sure to get rid of the dead skin, leaving you with soft and smooth skin like a manual exfoliation or book with us at 1 ‘For all your beauty and spa needs….Exclusively for Ladies’ for a full body exfoliation in our Luxurious full body Treatment.

DURING.

Don’t forget to apply your SPF, sun screen and block while you’re on holiday to avoid skin damage but to avoid your skin peeling don’t forget to moisturise. So if going to hotter climates (yes, please) apply a body spray from Avon( that is also used as insect repellent, Avon – dry oil body(original), Sanctuary- Body moisture spray , Vaseline Intensive Care . The reasoning being, you don’t want heavy products that take longer to absorb because you will be perspiring a lot. As well as use lotion which is cooling to the skin. Also wash with tea tree shower gel/ body wash from body shop, to help insects bites against irritation and inflammation by being anti – bacterial . If going to a colder climates (juries out on that one) go for body butters and body oils which is more comforting to the skin. Also, gives added protection by it taking longer to be absorbed, because that cold air dries out the water from the skin. Always wear sunglasses because skin surrounding the eye is very delicate, and you don’t want to the bring on wrinkles or skin pigmentation , even more by not wearing sunglasses, due to sun damage.

AFTER.

To avoid dry or peeling skin or for tan to last longer after holiday, because the exfoliation will get rid of the dead skin, as well as even out the tan, where there’s a build of dead skin. As well as apply mask to your face, especially if you went to a colder climate to put nourishment back into the skin. Don’t forget to exfoliate before you put on the mask, so the mask is able to penetrate into skin ,so it doesn’t sit on to the top of the skin.
